14 People Killed in an ISIS-K Attack in Daikundi

The responsibility for the attack on the residents of Daikundi Province has been claimed by the ISIS-K group. In a statement issued on Thursday evening, September 12, the group took responsibility for the shooting of 14 individuals in the Khami area, located on the border of Ghor Province.

The group has stated that its members killed 15 individuals in this attack and injured 6 others. Daesh, ISIS-K, has released images of the incident, depicting the brutal execution of these individuals. Local sources in Daikundi Province have also confirmed the deaths of 14 people and injuries to 4 others.

The victims were residents of the Sang Takht and Bandar districts of Daikundi Province. They were shot by four armed assailants in the Qowdal pass, a border area with Ghor Province, shortly after noon on Thursday, September 12.

According to sources, all the casualties were men who had gone to Ghor to welcome and greet pilgrims returning from Karbala.

The attack by Daesh on the residents of Daikundi in the Khami area of Ghor Province has sparked severe reactions from the people of Afghanistan.

Several citizens and political figures have described this incident as a genocide of the Hazara community on social media platforms.

This comes at a time when the Taliban have continuously claimed comprehensive security throughout Afghanistan, asserting that Daesh does not have a physical presence in the country.
