KABUL, August 21 (Afghan Women’s News Agency) – Sources inform the Afghan Women’s News Agency about the arrest of eight protesting women by the Taliban in Kabul.

This evening, eight protesting women were arrested by the Taliban. Dr. Zahra Haqparast, the director of the protest movement of the Afghan Women’s Unity and Solidarity Team, confirmed the arrest of eight protesting women by the Taliban forces.

The sources of the Afghan Women’s News Agency named the arrested women as Hajar, Hasina Sarwari, Farida Mohib, Tula Ataei, Lima and Khatul.

In the video that was sent to the Afghan Women’s News Agency from the moment these women were arrested, it can be seen that Taliban armed men suddenly enter the courtyard of the house where these women were.

The women tell the Taliban that they came to this house for a party and did nothing else. But the Taliban people ignore their words and say that they were already looking for them and arrested them by resorting to force and apparently beating them.

So far, it is not clear which Taliban security agency arrested these women, and there is no information about their whereabouts.

The arrest of these women occurs while in recent days, on the occasion of two years since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, protest gatherings against this group were launched inside and outside of Afghanistan, but the gatherings of protesting women inside Afghanistan were stopped due to the fear of arrest by the forces of this group, It was set up in closed and secret places.
