Expulsion of Girls from an Educational Center in Bamyan After the Taliban Attack

Local sources in Bamyan Province say that armed Taliban attacked the Kawsardanesh educational center and expelled the girls from their classrooms.
On Tuesday (February 21, 2023), Taliban attacked this educational center while a number of female students were present in their classrooms.
One of these students told the Afghan Women’s News Agency: “We were sitting in our classroom when a group of armed people entered the classroom like a herd of sheep and forced us out of the classroom.”
According to her, the girls tried to talk to them, but they forcibly threw the girls out of the center and did not hear a single word from them.

One of the teachers of Kawsardanesh educational center in Bamyan also confirms this news and says that the Taliban have also warned them that if female students come to this educational center again, they will close its gate forever.

Although the gates of universities and educational centers are closed to girls, young girls and students from primary to sixth grades in Kabul and some other provinces could go to educational centers.
