The Courage Award is one of the most important awards of the year in Germany, it is awarded annually to human rights activists in different fields by the Axel Springer Freedom Foundation.
Germany’s Axel Springer Freedom Foundation has announced that it has awarded this year’s Courage Award to Afghan women.
During a ceremony in Berlin, Germany, the Courage Award was presented to Roya Mahboob, one of the founders of the Afghan girls’ robotics team and an entrepreneur on behalf of Afghan women.
This award is given to the women of Afghanistan, while under the rule of the Taliban for more than two years, women have been deprived of all their religious and human rights and freedoms, and they have not given up seeking justice and struggle in difficult and suffocating conditions, and have usually protested. They demand their rights and freedoms in the country.
