Rina Amiri, the Special Representative of the United States for Afghan Women and Human Rights, has met and held discussions with representatives from France, Canada, Belgium, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. They emphasized the meaningful participation of Afghan women and civil society in the third Doha meeting.

Amiri, on Tuesday, announced on her social media page X about holding several meetings regarding Afghan women with representatives from some countries.

Amiri wrote: “I have emphasized the importance of meaningful participation of women and civil society in the third Doha meeting with the permanent representatives and special envoys of countries.”

It is notable that the third Doha meeting, hosted by the United Nations, will take place on June 30, with the presence of special representatives from countries for Afghanistan.

The United Nations has invited representatives of the Taliban to this meeting, but the group has not yet provided a final response regarding their participation.

While this meeting will be hosted by the United Nations, the Taliban group still has not opened the doors of schools and universities to girls and women.
