BAMYAN, March 28 (Afghan Women’s News Agency) – Abdullah Sarhadhi, the governor of Taliban in Bamyan and the officials of Promotion of Good and Prevention of Vice or Religious Police of Taliban, in a meeting with a number of religious scholars of this province, have ordered to prevent the presence of women without hijab in the society.
In this meeting, the scholars of Bamiyan were also ordered to explain and promote the issue of hijab on pulpits and mosques.
Some religious scholars have promised in this meeting that they will cooperate with Taliban officials in implementing this issue.

The Taliban governor has said that the hijab has not yet been fully implemented in Bamyan, so the scholars should promote the hijab for women. According to the order of the Taliban governor, the religious police of the Taliban in this province are obliged to seriously monitor public places, and if women do not observe the hijab, they will be dealt with seriously.

While the restrictions on women are increasing day by day, no institutions have taken any serious steps to support women in Afghanistan.
