KABUL, May 16 (Afghan Women’s News Agency) – Protesting women, members of the Afghan Women’s Political Participation Network reacted in a protest gathering against the interactions of the United Nations with the Taliban.
Today, these protesting women gathered in a closed place in Kabul city and chanted the slogans of “Freedom, Justice” and “Ban Taliban” and “don’t recognize the Taliban”. During this protest they asked the United Nations to stop those interactions with the Taliban that lead to the violation of women’s rights.

In the resolution published by the protesting women members of the Afghan Women’s Political Participation Network, it is stated that considering the problems in Afghanistan and the crimes committed by the Taliban in the last 22 months against the people of Afghanistan, especially women, it was expected that the United Nations and the international community who claim gender equality and the defense of human rights, stand seriously and decisively against the Taliban and take serious and decisive actions to defend the rights of the Afghan people in accordance with the United Nations Charter, of which Afghanistan is also a member, and according to the laws of this organization, it would sanctioned this terrorist group from all facilities and completely interrupt its political interactions.

The women protestors say that contrary to what they thought, the United Nations and the international community not only did not ban this terrorist group, but they also tried to strengthen it all this time and are increasing their interactions with it every day. They send cash and non-cash packages to the Taliban every week under the pretext of humanitarian aid. According to the protesting women, this dual behavior of the international community has made these terrorists more brazen, so that they no longer commit human rights crimes in secret but openly.

In the continuation of this resolution, it is stated that the field courts of the Taliban consider all kinds of murder, assassination and rape to be legitimate and increase the arrest, torture, forced confessions of the arrested and increase the problems and pressure on the Afghan people every day.
The women say that they are fed up with this humiliating situation and that they are living in a deep and hopeless crisis.
We the people of Afghanistan are tired of this situation and the disregard of human rights institutions for the current situation in Afghanistan, and we shout our demands that the United Nations should close its shameful interactions and secret relations with the Taliban, as a protest and demand for justice. This organization should not insult the intelligence of Afghan people more than this.

The protesters stressed that the people of Afghanistan will never recognize the Taliban terrorist group.
These protests take place while the protestors say that the holding of fruitless international meetings helps to legitimize the Taliban, and that the Taliban, as a terrorist group, does not deserve to be legitimized and governed in Afghanistan by committing crimes against humanity.
