UNAMA: Afghanistan Requires Investment in Health and Education Sectors

Indrika Ratwatte, the Deputy Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) and the coordinator of humanitarian affairs for the office has stated that investment in the health and education sectors is a pressing necessity for the country.

On Tuesday, UNAMA published a statement on its X page noting Ratwatte made these remarks in Kunduz.

The statement emphasized: “Ratwatte highlighted the necessity of supporting private sector access to markets and investing in the health and education sectors for all Afghans as a pivotal aspect of the reconstruction effort.”

It is important to mention that the Taliban group has deprived 1.5 million girls of education over the past three years.
