The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has announced its support for 30,000 health workers in Afghanistan.

UNICEF stated that these workers provide essential health services, particularly for children, through mobile outreach and home visits.

In a video released by UNICEF, one of the workers in Bamyan province expressed that witnessing the recovery of children suffering from malnutrition is a source of pride for her.

This year, 343,000 children suffering from acute malnutrition have been hospitalized for treatment in Afghanistan.

In the past two months, the organization stated that over 343,000 children afflicted by acute malnutrition have been admitted to hospitals, emphasizing that nutritious food is vital for treating children’s severe malnutrition.

It is noteworthy that UNICEF is the sole provider of such food for children in the country.”
