Dr. Zahra Mohammadi, one of the protesting women, wrote on her Twitter account that the Taliban received more than 80,000 dollars from various institutions in exchange for her release.
In response to the words of Mahbuba Saraj, who called protesting women “illiterate and project takers” in a TV interview, she wrote: “The heroes of the freedom path have not fought for evacuation and money. I hope that one day Mahbuba Saraj will apologize to the protesting women of Afghanistan.
Zahra Mohammadi was arrested and imprisoned by the Taliban in February 2022 for participating in street protests.
Mahbubeh Siraj called the protesting women illiterate when the protesting women reacted to her nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize and did not consider her worthy of this award because she had spoken in favor of the Taliban in several international meetings and according to the protesting women, she is one of the Taliban lobbyists for the recognition of this group by the international community.
The Taliban chased the protesting women and put them in prisons under the pretext of foreign support, but they received money from foreign institutions in exchange for their release.
Meanwhile, Narges Sadat, another female protester, has been in Taliban prison for some time now.
She was captured by the Taliban at one of the checkpoints in Pulsorkh, Kabul, while she was sick, and so far there is no information about her fate, and Narges’ family has not been able to meet her.
