The head of religious police (Amar Belmaruf) of the Taliban in Herat has published a notice saying that women are allowed to visit holy places two days a week (Wednesday and Thursday).

In this announcement, which was published on Tuesday (March 7), it is said that women are not allowed to enter mosques and other holy places without veils (Chadari).

Meanwhile, some time ago, according to a number of taxi and tricycle drivers in Herat, they were told by the head of the religious police of the Taliban, “If a girl is in the city without a veil (burqa), she has no right to use a taxi or a tricycle.”

It is said that the Taliban took most of the girls without burqas (chadoris) out of the cars in Herat and sent them to their homes.
