According to eyewitnesses, the explosion took place this afternoon in the Sardawra area near the Sarwar Zarif school in the fourth security district.
Qari Obaidullah Abedi, spokesman for the Kunduz Police Command, said that the explosion took place at around 12:30 pm on April 21 in the Sardawra area.
According to Mr. Abedi, four people were killed and 18 others, including three children and a woman, were injured in the incident.
Abedi adds that their investigations into the arrest of the perpetrators of this incident are ongoing.
A number of relatives of the victims who went to the Kunduz Regional Hospital say that they witnessed the tragic incident and are waiting for the operation of their relatives from the hospital. They call on the officials of the Islamic Emirate to ensure the security of the people so that they will no longer witness the killing of innocent people.
This is the second explosion after a suicide attack on a Shiite mosque in Kunduz a few months ago, targeting civilians.
