With the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan, they simultaneously issued an order to close girls’ schools above the sixth grade. With the closure of the schools gates, not only have girls been deprived of education, but they have also lost hope for a bright future. In their latest move, the Taliban have designated the high school and girls’ school of Arghousha in Bamyan as a religious seminary.

Local sources in Bamyan have informed the Afghan Women’s News Agency that the Taliban have transformed the private school of Argousha located in the Zargaran Valley, a suburb of central Bamyan, into a religious school.

According to sources, currently, about 50 female students are engaged in learning and education at this seminary.

The change in educational curriculum and the transformation of schools into religious seminaries has sparked significant concerns among the citizens of the country.
