According to sources, Khwaja Meer Mujahid, the former head of the Powerlifting Federation was detained from his residence in the Khairkhana area of Kabul City around 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 20. Initially, the Taliban intelligence entered his house and then took him away with threats and harsh treatment.

The reasons and motives behind his detention are unclear. The Taliban group has not commented on this matter yet.

He was also detained by the Taliban group some time ago and was imprisoned by this group for several months.

Mujahid is a resident of Panjshir province and has been involved in various sports activities for several years. Before the Taliban took over the government, he was the head of the Powerlifting Federation in Kabul province.

With the Taliban regaining power in Afghanistan, a significant number of the country’s citizens have been detained and imprisoned by the intelligence of this group for unknown reasons.
