Doctors in Bamyan Provincial Hospital say that the statistics of various seasonal diseases have increased in the past few months in this province. According to the doctors of this hospital, an average of 100 people are admitted daily, most of them are women and children.

Latifa, one of the patients who visited Bamyan Hospital, says that she was suffering from pneumonia for 10 days and since then the disease has spread among her family members.

On the other hand, some of these patients say that they cannot afford to buy medicine due to economic problems and have to wait in long lines of patients in Bamyan hospitals to receive health services.

Nadera, another patient, says that pharmacies have raised the price of medicines and we can’t buy medicine. Right now, at least dozens of people are sick in our homes and we can’t afford to buy medicine.

The prevalence of various diseases among the residents of Bamyan has increased while the access of these residents to health centers is less.

Last week, the Mobility Welfare Institute commissioned 23 health facilities in the districts of Bamyan and assured that it will increase the supply of health facilities in the center of this province and the districts as well.
