KANDAHAR, Feb 27 (Afghanistan Women’s News Agency) – Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Taliban group, has verbally ordered members of the group in Kandahar province not to share or broadcast their images in the media.

According to sources, the leader of the Taliban group issued orders to officials of the group on Sunday, February 25, to refrain from appearing on television screens and in front of cameras, and requested that they decline any televised interviews with any media outlets.

This comes as a few days ago, the governor of Kandahar province had declared photography and filming of living beings in the province as prohibited and haram. Furthermore, this group had previously prohibited women and girls from contacting local media via phone in Khost province.

With the seizure of power in Afghanistan, the Taliban imposed numerous restrictions on the citizens of the country, especially women and girls.
