Local sources have reported airstrikes by Pakistani forces in Paktika and Khost provinces. The missile attacks by Pakistan took place around 3:00 AM today, March 18th, targeting civilian homes in the Laman area of Barmal district in Paktika province and the Afghan Dubi area of Speirai district in Khost province.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, has confirmed the Pakistani airstrikes in Paktika and Khost, stating that in the attacks, 2 women in Khost and 3 women and 3 children in Paktika were killed.

Local sources have also reported that in Barmal, Paktika, 5 individuals, including 2 women and 2 children, were killed.

According to Pakistani media reports, Pakistani forces targeted a Taliban commander in the Paktika province of Afghanistan named Abdullah Shah Mahsud, but Zabihullah Mujahid denied this claim, stating that Abdullah Shah is in Pakistan.

Mujahid has condemned the Pakistani attacks as unwarranted actions and violations of Afghanistan’s sovereignty.

The Taliban spokesperson further stated that the group has experience in freedom and long-term struggle against superpowers and will not allow anyone or any group to violate their land.

Furthermore, sources in Khost province have reported that the Taliban and Pakistani forces clashed recently in the border area of Warzhala in the Tanai district of Khost province.

Currently, the conflict between the Afghan Taliban and Pakistani military forces continues in Angor Addah in the Barmal district of Paktika province and Dand-e-Patan in Paktia province.

There is no information available yet regarding casualties and damages resulting from this military conflict.

The Taliban Ministry of Defense has recently issued a newsletter, quoting Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, the defence minister of the group, stating that in response to Pakistani airstrikes on Paktika and Khost, their forces have targeted Pakistani military positions along the border with heavy attacks.
