ZABUL, AFGHANISTAN - The Supreme Court of the Taliban group announced the Lashing of three individuals in public on charges of theft and homosexuality in Zabul province.

ZABUL, AFGHANISTAN – The Supreme Court of the Taliban group announced the Lashing of three individuals in public on charges of theft and homosexuality in Zabul province.

According to a newsletter released by the Supreme Court of the Taliban group on Sunday, April 14th, the execution of the flogging sentence by this group was reported.

As per the newsletter, an individual accused of theft was sentenced to 20 lashes and 8 months of imprisonment. The other two individuals, charged with homosexuality, were each flogged 20 and 10 times and were also sentenced to 10 and 6 months of imprisonment.

According to the newsletter, the Taliban group’s court ruling for these three individuals was implemented in public in the presence of judicial authorities of this group.

It is said that Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Taliban group, has once again emphasized the implementation of punishments such as stoning, flogging, amputation, and execution of suspects in an audio tape.

With the return of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, various commands such as stoning and flogging have been issued in public by the leader of this group and have been carried out on some citizens of the country.
