Afghan Women’s News Agency – Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, spoke in a video conference with Thomas West, the special representative of the United States of America for Afghanistan, about the importance and impact of education of girls and boys in having a bright future and economic growth of Afghanistan.
Hamid Karzai has emphasized the importance of girls’ education by publishing a message on the X social network and has asked the United States of America to provide the field for the education of Afghan youth and to cooperate in this matter.
It is stated in the newsletter that the issue of intra-Afghan understanding for peace and stability in Afghanistan was also discussed and Hamid Karzai thanked the United States of America for its humanitarian aid to Afghanistan and emphasized on the continuation of this aid.
Although 724 days have passed since schools were closed for girls above the sixth grade and nearly a year has passed since girls were banned from going to universities and thousands of Afghan girls have been deprived of their right to education.
After the Taliban imposed restrictions on the work of aid agencies in Afghanistan, humanitarian aid has decreased and aid agencies have also faced a lack of funds to distribute aid to the needy.
