The Supreme Court of the Taliban group announced that Wednesday, April 10, is the first day of Eid al-Fitr in the country. This court stated on Monday night, April 8, through a declaration that the new moon of Shawwal has not been sighted in any of the provinces of the country.

“Hence, Tuesday is the last day of the blessed month of Ramadan, and Wednesday coincides with the first day of the Islamic lunar month of Shawwal and the first day of Eid al-Fitr.”

Saudi Arabia also announced that the new moon of Shawwal has not been sighted in the country, and Wednesday, April 10, is the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

Countries such as Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Egypt, Australia, Turkey, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates have also declared Wednesday, April 10, as the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
