Local sources in Kabul city have reported that a group of Taliban militants opened fire on five unarmed individuals in this city.

According to sources, this incident took place at a Taliban checkpoint on Sunday, in the Karteh Mamoreen area of Kabul, resulting in the loss of four lives and the injury of one individual due to this shooting.

Sources state that the victims, named Ismail, Wahab, and Shukruddin, were main residents of Mata village in the Hesa Awal district of Panjshir province, and were members of a family. The other two individuals, Asad and Jawad, were residents of the Shakar Dara district in Kabul.

Based on information from sources, these individuals were targeted by Taliban forces when returning from the Qargha dam and amusement park.

Khalid Zadran, the spokesperson for the Taliban security forces in Kabul, stated that three individuals were killed on charges of theft by their group, and another individual was wounded. He mentioned that these individuals had stolen 800,000 Afghanis worth of gold from a house in the Afshar area of the fifth district of Kabul and were killed in a confrontation with Taliban forces.

The Taliban group is accused of torture, and killing civilians and previous military personnel. To justify their actions in society, they fabricate cases against those who are killed, level accusations against them, and create animosity towards them. It is worth noting that three of the victims of this incident are from the Haji Naqshbandi family, who are well-known merchants of emeralds in Panjshir and may not have a connection to the theft.
