Women’s Liberation Movement: The Taliban regime is the creator of violence and violates human rights

The Afghan Women’s Liberation Movement has issued a statement on the occasion of November 25 International Day for the Prevention of Violence against Women, saying that the Taliban regime in Afghanistan is the creator of violence and violates all human rights in Afghanistan.

In the statement published by this movement, it is stated that since the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, all social, economic and political fields in this country have faced serious problems. While the Taliban group has not had the capacity to provide the simplest social services to the people in the past two years. This group committed clear violations of human rights, depriving women of education, work, sports, recreation, and banning them from traveling.

It is further stated that stoning to death, execution, rape in prisons, repression of minorities, forced hijab, forced marriages, illegal arrests, whipping and suppression of women, physical removal of women from all fields, disappearance of employees and the military of the former government, house-to-house inspections, forced migration, genocide of Tajiks and Hazaras, and all the cases of human rights violations have increased, and women have been the most affected by this policy of the Taliban.

In reaction to the imprisonment of women due to civil protests against the Taliban, the Women’s Liberation Movement of Afghanistan has emphasized that the beating and physical and psychological torture of women has only reduced to the level of names and catchy news headlines in popular bulletins.

“The fact that women who are arrested by the Taliban, tortured and forced to give false and forced confessions against fighting and demanding their rights imposes a huge amount of insult, pain and shame on women, and after that how would be the situation of individual and family life as well as their mental state. It is not attractive for any media or human rights organization.”

This movement has also added that the unstable and violent Taliban regime is the creator of all violence in Afghanistan, and in order to reduce the violence, the Taliban must be destroyed.
