KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN ‐ A woman in Kandahar province was tragically murdered by her husband. According to sources, a man shot his wife to death on Saturday afternoon, March 23, in Shaki village in Miwand district of Kandahar province.

It is reported that this woman, a mother of six children, fell victim to family violence, resulting in her untimely death.

With the resurgence of the Taliban in Afghanistan, the level of domestic violence in the country has been on the rise. Women and girls are being killed in various ways in the country.
