Reports from local sources have indicated the detention of a former military officer and a civilian in Panjshir province.

According to sources on Wednesday, March 20th, the intelligence forces of the Taliban detained a former military officer and a civilian from the centre of Panjshir province.

It is reported that this former military officer was named Saber and was a resident of the Frobal area in the centre of Panjshir province. He served as the security commander of this province in the previous republic regime and had been unemployed since August 15, 2021.

Additionally, the detained civilian was identified as Abdulrahman, a simple civilian resident of the Dasht-e-Riwat village, who was detained from the bazaars city, the capital of this province.

The Taliban do not share information with the media regarding such detentions.

Meanwhile, the Taliban intelligence forces have been detaining hundreds of residents of Panjshir on various charges, including allegations of ties to the National Resistance Front, for the past two years.
