DAIKUNDI, Nov 19 (Afghan Women’s News Agency) – Local sources of the Afghan Women’s News Agency report the assassination of a former police officer in his home.

According to sources, Dawood Wahdat, a former police officer, was assassinated by the Taliban tonight behind his house in Nili city, the center of Daikundi province.

Dawood Wahdat had a working experience in the Daikundi security system for nearly twenty years, and when the system fell to the Taliban, he was the intelligence chief of the Daikundi security command in the Miramor district of this province, but recently he was working as manager in the intelligence department of the Taliban system.

Sources believe that he was assassinated by the Taliban, because there are no other armed people in Daikundi Province except the Taliban.
