Local sources in Panjshir province reported the detention of a teacher from a school by the Taliban intelligence in the centre of this province.

Sources say that this teacher, Mujibullah Khalid Adeeb, was detained by the Taliban intelligence in Panjshir on Saturday, May 4th. He was a teacher at the Wali Mohammad Shahid School in Panjshir and had no affiliations with any political or military groups.

The motive for his detention is still unclear, and the Taliban group has not commented on this matter yet.

Furthermore, the family of Neda Mohammad Noori, a journalist for national television in Parwan province, has also reported his detention by the Taliban.

Wali Mohammad Noori, the brother of Neda Mohammad Noori, stated that his brother is a reporter and news anchor for national television in Parwan province.

According to him, Neda Mohammad Noori was detained by the Taliban on Saturday, May 4th, as he was on his way towards duty.

Eyewitnesses have also stated that the Taliban group put a black hood over the journalist’s head during the arrest and took him away.

Mr. Noori’s brother added that he has no information about his brother’s current situation, and their family has been trying to locate his whereabouts since the day of his detention, but they have no information about his fate so far.

National Television is a state-owned media outlet that is currently operating under the control of the Taliban group.

The Taliban group has increased the detention of individuals in Panjshir province and journalists without stating any reasons.
