Local sources in Sarpol reported the raining of bullets on four members of a family and the subsequent arrest of four others by the Taliban group in this province.

According to sources, this incident took place yesterday in the Gorziwan village in the Kohestanat district of Sarpol province.

The individuals killed by bullets included a 52-year-old man named Abdullah, his 22-year-old son, a 25-year-old woman, and a nine-year-old girl. The motive behind this act by the Taliban remains unknown.

Sources also mentioned that the Taliban has detained four other individuals named Ebad, Ghulam Sakhi, Sulaiman Qol, and Goma in Sarpol province, and so far, there is no information available about their fate. Furthermore, these four detainees were reportedly members of the local police forces of the previous government.

Local sources state that the Taliban has forced approximately 40 other families in this province to undergo forced displacement.

It is also reported that the Taliban has cut off telecommunication networks, especially internet services, in this province to prevent people from accessing information.

Local authorities have not commented on these actions by the Taliban in this province.

During their nearly three-year rule in the country, this group has detained, tortured, and fired bullets at several citizens, particularly military personnel and officials of the previous government, for unknown reasons.
