Afghan Women’s News Agency – AMBASSADOR MICHÈLE TAYLOR

U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations Human Rights Council, has expressed her concern about the current situation of women in Afghanistan.

Mrs. Taylor, who was speaking at the 54th session of the Human Rights Council, said that the United States and the countries of the world will not recognize the government of the Taliban until they change their policies.

Taylor believes that the future of Afghanistan is tied to the issue of inclusive participation.

This is despite the fact that more than 60 civil and human rights institutions and organizations have requested the members of the United Nations Human Rights Council to document the crimes of the Taliban through a joint open letter.
