KABUL, Dec 18 (Afghanistan Women’s News Agency) – A number of Afghan protesting women confirmed to the Afghanistan Women’s News Agency that Zhulia Parsi and her son have been released from Taliban prison after nearly three months.

Zhulia Parsi, a women’s rights activist, and her son were arrested by the Taliban on September 27 in Kabul.

According to sources, restrictions have been imposed on Parsi by the Taliban. The Taliban fighters have told her that she is not allowed to engage in civil activities and interview with the media, and that she and her son must communicate with the intelligence agencies of this group every week.

Sources say: “Taliban group confiscated Zhulia Parsi’s passport and told her that she is not allowed to travel.”

Manizha Sediqi and Parisa Azada, two other protesting women along with journalists, are still in Taliban prisons.
