HERAT, October 11 (Afghan Women’s News Agency) – At 5:11 this morning, a strong earthquake shook Herat western province of Afghanistan once again. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), today’s earthquake was 6.3 on the Richter scale and at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The center of this earthquake this time is a little closer to the city center, 28 kilometers northwest of Herat, and the second earthquake occurred 9 minutes after the first tremor in the previous area, and its magnitude was reported as 5 degrees.

In addition to the Herat city, it has also shaken the cities of Farah and Badghis in the west of the country and Mashhad in Iran.

This is the fifth day that the western part of the country has witnessed strong earthquakes, and Zinda Jan district of Herat has suffered the most casualties and financial losses.
