PANJSHIR, AFGHANISTAN - Reports from local sources in Panjshir province indicate that three soldiers of the previous government have been detained by the Taliban in this province.

PANJSHIR, AFGHANISTAN – Reports from local sources in Panjshir province indicate that three soldiers of the previous government have been detained by the Taliban in this province.

According to these sources, the Taliban group arrested these three individuals on Tuesday, March 26, in the Pishgor area of Khinj district in Panjshir province and transferred them to an undisclosed location.

A relative of one of the detainees mentioned that the Taliban had relocated them to Kapisa province, as they had come from that province at the time of their arrest. The detained individuals are identified as Samim, Naeem, and Sayed Jafar.

Local Taliban officials in Panjshir province have not made any statements regarding this incident so far.

During their nearly three-year rule, the Taliban detained hundreds of soldiers from the previous government in Panjshir province and other regions of the country, as well as arrested, tortured, and even killed hundreds of other individuals in this province for various charges.
