According to sources, a young daughter and her mother lost their lives on Friday night, March 15th, around 12:30 a.m. due to carbon monoxide poisoning in the Bandar Shakh area of Qaysar district.

The young girl, named Fawzia, was 22 years old, and her mother, named Saleha, was around 50 years old, leaving behind two children. They had lit a charcoal stove in their bedroom and fallen asleep, resulting in the deaths of both mother and daughter due to carbon monoxide poisoning. The stove with the chair caught fire afterwards, causing some household items and parts of their bodies to catch fire and burn.

The Taliban’s Culture and Information Directorate in Faryab province has also confirmed these events in its newsletter. It is further reported in the newsletter that in another incident in the Almar district of this province, a young woman was killed by her brother. The woman was a resident of the Fatihabad area of Almar district, and she was killed by her brother with a knife during a family dispute.

With the resurgence of the Taliban, family violence, murder, and crimes have increased in the country. Meanwhile, this group always speaks of ensuring security in the country.
