Local reporters from Paktika province report the poor condition of the quake victims in the province. Some of the reporters said that the injured women victims of the incident lost their lives due to the absence of female doctors and nurses because the Taliban did not allow male doctors to examine and treat the injured women.

One of the reporters said:
“Unfortunately, there are no facilities in the hospital where we come to treat the wounded, and the women who are brought here are not allowed by the male doctors to examine or treat them. They die waiting for the female doctor.”

On the other hand, many victims are trapped under the rubble and the Taliban have not taken immediate action to rescue them, so the death toll is rising. The deadly quake shook parts of Paktika and Khost provinces for two days in a row, killing more than 1,000 people, including women and children. According to statistics, more than 1,500 others were injured in the incident, but due to the lack of treatment facilities for the injured, the injureds of the incident also perished, but the injured women perished simply due to the lack of a female doctor.
