Afghan Journalist Arrested by the Taliban Local sources in Kabul have reported the detention of Mahdi Ansari, a journalist from the Afghan news agency, in the city. On Monday, October 7, these sources confirmed to the Afghan Women's News Agency that Mahdi Ansari was arrested by the Taliban Intelligence Service on Saturday, October 5, at the Pul-e-Khushk checkpoint in the western part of Kabul. According to information from sources, the Taliban transferred Ansari to prison after his arrest, and there is currently no information regarding his fate. The reason for his detention remains unclear, and the Taliban have not made any statements on this matter. It is noteworthy that the group's intelligence agency arrested Hikmat Aryan, the director of Khushhal Radio, in Ghazni Province a week ago, and he remains imprisoned by the group till now.
